Word up, my name's Dan and I'm the newest addition to Idle.

My music career started when I was about 6 years old and my parents bought me a little plastic drum kit for Christmas, something to rock out on and channel my excess energy into I guess. I got my first "real" kit when I was 12 and spent the next few years of my life making filthy amounts of noise with it.

As a kid I always had my older brother Adam strumming songs like House of the rising sun into my ear and it wasn't long before I picked up a guitar and started strumming along. I met Idle many years ago through my bro Ads, they were immediately impressed with my sleaky attire and amazing talent.

We all started jamming pretty much as soon as they returned from touring Europe in 2001, eventually we came up with "Adam's song" and soon after we started rehearsing. I enjoy; eating, jamming and all sports (including mattress skydiving, stress ball soccer and burrowing). I'm a big Dave Matthews and Ben Harper fan but I also listen to a bit of hip hop and love all sorts of music. I think I will also include a short list of films that are cowabunga; Pulp Fiction, this is Spinal Tap, Fear of a black hat, Snatch and Seven.
